I was at the Bishop's conference today in Hatfield, a St Albans Diocesan conference. Bishop Graham Cray was a speaker there. He is the closest thing to a marketing director the Church of England has - or at the very leas the Director of innovation and development. Fresh Expressions is a movement designed to plant churches among groups which have little or no connection with the established church. Which gives him a unique perspective on how the church is engaging with different subcultures. I nabbed him in the lunch queue.
