Savage headlines and pictures as our boys come home in disgrace. You might be curious at the sombre faces. How are they feeling? Actually we don't know. What they aren't do is look like they are about to rejoin their families on holiday and perk up a bit. One of them was foolish enough to be caught smiling on camera so clearly wasn't taking the World Cup challenge seriously. This is where mass media coverage has taken us: public displays of contrition or exultation to suit the public mood. We got the team we deserve. Take a look at their faces.
